Internal static? Take a beach day.

I'll admit, I've had days-turned-weeks-turned-months where I felt a little blue. Being a student at UNC is no joke, and if you know me you know that I'm always pushing- sometimes a little two hard. If this is you, fear not. I've discovered an age-old recipe that everyone probably already knows:

doing nothing

sand

obnoxious amounts of snacks.

That's right, I'm talking about a beach day. It's hard to pinpoint what's so great about a mental health beach day. Is it the vitamin D? Or is it the three-hour drive? Maybe it's just knowing that you're taking the steps to take care of yourself. Whatever it is, there's a certain kind of magic in an impromptu beach trip- a kind of magic that motivates and relaxes, and whispers that we're going to be just fine.

Pass the sunscreen?
