Aftermath

In September 2017, Puerto Rico was struggling after being hit by two massive hurricanes. Six months later, has the island recovered? Aftermath is a 5-part multimedia documentary produced by students of the UNC School of Media and Journalism about Puerto Rico's road to recovery.

Aftermath won the David Teeuwen Student Journalism award for large newsrooms in the Online Journalism Awards, the Gold Interactive Multimedia award for online storytelling from College Photographer of the Year 73; and was a finalist at the SXSW film festival.
The Health Brigade won an award of excellence for Media: Stand-alones from College Photographer of the Year 73.
